Arne Blakkisrud (57)

Arne is a businessman with a passion for long distance cycling. He actually started with cycling as a training method for skating, but after a short while the bike had him. In 1976 he founded a bicycle club in Ullensaker outside Oslo and was the leader for many years. He is also one of the key people in the race “Postgiro Norway” and is also famous for partici-pating 40 times in the 540 kilometer long “Styrkeproven” race. Internationally he looks back upon nice rides in Giro Delle Dolomiti i Italia and Paris - Brest – Paris. Arne is also known as an excellent speaker and commentator in races.
